May I present to you my finished website! I have been working on it for awhile now and I'm sure that I will keep adjusting things as I go but for the most part it is completed! caitlynharris.com is my professional portfolio. I am going to continue to update this blog as well with my less formal artsy type stuff. Did you notice the blog got a facelift to match?

I have often been told that my handwriting looks like it could be a font and according to Dawn Singh it should be called "ant shit font" which I think is hilarious. I decided to hand illustrate the text for my website. In the future I think I will probably just choose a pre-made one haha but I do like how it turned out :)

T2 Will Work for Doughnuts

I entered the T2 Will Work for Doughnuts internship competition last friday and today they announced the three finalist, and while my video was not selected, two of the three were KCAI animation alumni. Congratulations to Adam Buritsch and Dan Buck and good luck to both of you on phase two! You can check out all the submissions here.

To enter we had to make a 20-45 second info graphic animation that describes who we are at the core of our person without using conventional descriptions such as name, age, gender, ethnicity, or specific life experiences. Here is what I came up with.

Preview

A preview of things to come. I got a critique from a professional Illustration magazine saying that my blog was too student-ish and that I should have a more professional website. So I have been working on getting one put together. Unfortunately this means I will have to get some new business cards made up. I have also been sprucing up the old portfolio and job hunting. It feels strange to not go back to school this year.
